Composer: A History Of Jazz Piano presents Al as a composer writing jazz pieces that span the entire Twentieth Century.

Recording Artist: Al has made a recording of A History Of Jazz Piano playing and narrating each jazz style in chronological order.

Teacher: Al teaches the characteristics of each jazz style in A History Of Jazz Piano. Besides playing, Al encourages his students to write in the various styles in order to have a better understanding of each piece. Al also teaches the different styles of the great jazz pianists of each period.
